I am Dr. Twan Weaver, an Epidemiologist currently employed by a reputable biopharmaceutical company in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area. With over 24 years of experience in clinical research, my expertise spans a variety of fields, including flow cytometry, cell-based assays, plate-based assays, and Phlebotomy. I earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Med from Elizabeth City State University, as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a PhD in Public Health from Walden University. Additionally, I have a Phlebotomist Certificate from Durham Technical Community College and I am certified in CPR (Basic Life Support). I also possess a national certification in Phlebotomy from the National Health Association (NHA).
My education and experience have shown me the critical importance of blood specimen collection for research, clinical work, and regulated environments. Proper collection and handling of specimens are essential for maintaining cell vitality, as these specimens are crucial for laboratory testing, diagnostic procedures, cell cultures, and Peripheral Blood Mononuclear (PBMC) banking. With over 15 years of experience in specimen collection for some of the most prominent organizations, corporations, and universities in Durham, NC, we are also certified to perform all CLIA-waived tests.
We strive to make the specimen collection process as seamless as possible for you, whether at your residence, office, or during health events. Appointments can be scheduled using the Services/Prices/Booking tab with at least 24 hours advanced notice. If same-day specimen collection is needed, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
